About the Event

Kaylinkz International Tertiary Institution (KITI) presents the 2025 Debate Competition — a forum dedicated to fostering positive cultural integration, strengthening intercultural understanding, and empowering youth through competitive debate.

Vision

Fostering positive cultural integration in African tertiary institutions.

Aim

Integration through intellectual interactions and the minimization of negative peer pressure.

Objectives

  • Provide a continental platform for competitive intellectual debates.
  • Strengthen intercultural understanding among African students.
  • Encourage innovative thinking toward Africa's educational and industrial future.
  • Create a continental network of young leaders passionate about Africa's future.

Debate Format & Rules

  • Teams: Proposition (For) and Opposition (Against), 3–4 speakers per team.
  • Opening speeches: 5–7 minutes each.
  • Rebuttals: 3–5 minutes.
  • Cross-examination: 5 minutes.
  • Closing statements: 5 minutes each.
